Whenever we walk we complete what is known as the gait cycle, namely the repeated sequence of movements that occurs between the “stance phase” (heel strike - foot flat - toe off) and the “swing phase” (when the non-loadbearing leg swings forward).
If we have any problems walking, our “gait cycle” can be more difficult to complete and this is when the support provided by a Carbon afo ankle foot orthosis can be invaluable.
The entire brace is made from reinforced carbon fibre, which is renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. With a lightweight design and thin profile, Carbon afo is particularly easy to wear and enables patients to walk dynamically, symmetrically and smoothly.
It is easy to don and even easier to wear.
